Massive change is a book written by Bruce Mau. The author has used the book to illustrate the new inventions and technologies that affect human race in the  world. The author wanted to use the book to provoke debate about the design culture. In the book the author analyzed the change in design. He has also expanded design to include things   like built environment and technologies. According to Bruce, there are many designer jobs that one can do.


For instance, one can choose to do graphic design. A graphic designer performs a wide range of roles (Mau &Leonard, 2004). For example, graphic designers help solve communication problems using visual solutions. The graphic designers study culture, context and social problems then develop designs. The designs developed are used to communicate well so as to meet the needs of the customer. Since am interested in working with Bruce, there are various things that I have to tell him so as to get the Job.


First, I will inform him about my qualifications in design and the kind of design I have specialized in. For instance if it is image and typing design. After that I will inform him about my experience in graphic design. In case of image and type design, one should have experience in using computers and design softwares. Also, one should be able to combine images and topography well so as to covey the right message to the client (Mau &Leonard, 2004).


Wilson in his book understanding Media users analyzes the kind of design work   people experience in the modern society. The author examines objective reality and   what people in the modern world think (Wilson, 2009). He also analyzes how people experience digital technology. In experience design, designers design products, services and process while focusing on user experience.


The designers only focus on the quality of user experience   but not other things. Designers using experience design do not focus on increasing the   functionality of their products. Also, they do not focus on enhancing the functionality of their product. Instead, the designers only aim at fulfilling the need of the users in term of their experience (Wilson, 2009).


Experience design incorporates elements from various fields. For instance, it has incorporated elements from cognitive psychology and architecture. It has also included   elements from service design and Heuristics. In commercial design, experience design considers the engagement moments between people and brands. It is also driven by ideas   and emotions that result from such moments (Wilson, 2009).


Commercial experience design is also know brand experience. In addition, experience design involves many design disciplines. It requires an integration of multiple disciplines that consider different   aspects of life. For instance, the disciplines can focus on the attitude of the workers and the clothing. They can also focus on product packaging.


Experience design is aimed at   developing the experience of various products and events using various dimensions like duration and intensity. Experience design is not new to the users as they have had different experiences. Most people argue that the experience design is still young, though it is a combination of other disciplines (Wilson, 2009).


There are various dimensions to experience. That is time and interactivity. Another   dimension to experience is intensity and breadth. The various dimensions make it easy for designers to create effective and successful experiences. All experiences are important and people can learn from them. The experiences can be traditional, physical or   technological. Experience design has helped improve design in general (Wilson, 2009).


In the everyday things, the author helps people understand the things that are around them so as to be able to understand design (Norman, 1988). The author examines various things critical. There are various things that are found in the personal environment. For instance, a car. The car is silver in color and has an average mileage that is less than one year.


In addition, the car does not have any flaws as it has all the tools and accessories present. Also, the engine compartment looks good with an interior new look and a mounted tire. Another object in the personal environment is the house. The house is fairly large and it is surrounded by a luxuriant garden. The house consists of five bedrooms, a living room   and bathroom that has a shower. It also has a dining room and a kitchen and toilet. There is wide range of paintings hanging on the walls (Norman, 1988).


The color of the neon lights enhances the   beauty and coziness of the house at night. The third object in the environment is the luxuriant garden .The garden costs of a wide range of flowers. The flowers have different colors ranging from red, yellow to purple. This has made the environment look beautiful. The flowers include jasmine flowers that have a good fragrance. The fragrance of the flowers can be felt from far. The garden consists of fast growing flowers. The flowers are 15feet high (Norman, 1988).
