
The internet is not a place for the humble pizza delivery man.
In fact, Papa John said online dating is like a real-life business, which it hopes to become even more of over the next few years.
“We’re really excited to make that a reality, and I think we’re going to be doing it in a way that’s actually helpful for our customers, not just to us,” Papa John executive chef David Besser told the Wall Street Journal.
The pizza chain said it would open a new location in Chicago to meet its customers’ needs.
Papa John announced a plan to open a restaurant in New York City earlier this month, and has also said it will open an online dating service in Austin in 2018.
The new Papa John will be the first to serve online dating, according to the Wall St Journal, which said it has “unheard of access to people from across the globe” and will be able to serve “a variety of partners.”
The online service Papa John hopes to offer will focus on “partnership, relationship management and customer service.”
